Twin brothers Bruno and Nuno da Silva were selling fruit when they decided to pack it in and start a locksmithing business. That move paid off when Millennium Locksmiths was named the House and Home Trades winner at the City South News Business Achievers Awards.
Bruno da Silva said while the first two years of the business had been a "killer", they were now reaping rewards. "We started it from scratch with one van and one locksmith, and five years later, we have three vans and six guys working for us." He said winning was a "wonderful" reward. "I think the emotion on our faces said it all."
"At the end of the day we treat our customers like royalty, whether they're Mrs Jones down the road or a big firm."
